Asher Runs 41’off, Wins French Malibu Open

Will Asher’s stunning victory at the French Malibu Open 2019

(Lacaneau, France, July, 11th 2019) Will Asher continued his incredible hot streak today by winning the French Malibu Open. Besting his opponents in each head-to-head matchup, Asher saved his best for last. On his forthcoming 2020 Syndicate Ski, Will Asher ran 10.25m(41’off) to defeat Robert Pigozzi in the final matchup of the tournament. Needing a piece of 4 to surpass Pigozzi’s 3, Asher turned 4 with control and confidence and closed the entire pass. Skiing just inside of 1 ball on the incredibly short 9.75m(43’off) line, Asher ended with 6 buoys at 10.25, the most valuable oversized check and bragging rights.

Fresh off his victory at the San Gervasio Pro-Am in Italy, this marks Asher’s 2nd pro victory this week and 3rd this season. This is the second time this month that Will has run the 10.25 meter line this month, the first being in the preliminary round of the Botaski Pro-Am in Spain on June 28th. Up next on the Euro Pro Waterski Tour is the Mapple Pro-Am in Thorpe, England.
